LOG & TIMBER CONSTRUCTION
Log Knowledge specializes in log & timber commercial construction. It is
important that Log Knowledge becomes involved in the project as early as possible in order to ensure that the design and drawings are specific to the idiosyncrasies of log and timber construction.

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
With 30 years experience designing and solving log and timber details, LK’s design team can coordinate with the project architect for concept review and design recommendations. The next stages involve initial rough budgets, value engineering, and structural log and timber layout. While the architect continues in the development of the architecturals, the Log Knowledge designers further define the shop drawings and connection details. Shop drawings are then sent to the architect and general contractor for review and approval, and are ready for engineering and final pricing.

LOG & TIMBER SELECTION AND PROCUREMENT
Log Knowledge carefully selects its logs from the highest quality Rocky Mountain trees available. The 8 acre log yard at Log Knowledge holds the inventory of log and timbers used for each commercial project. In addition to this selection, Log Knowledge also acquires many specialty log and timber items specific to a project's required components.

PREFABRICATION
All projects are prefabricated at the Log Knowledge facility in Northern Colorado. Prefabricating projects at the Log Knowledge facility allows for simultaneous on-site construction,
ensures quality control, allows Log Knowledge craftsmen to have a virtually unlimited supply of logs to select from as they build, and provides the most cost efficient means for supplying equipment and labor.

INSTALLATION AND SITE FABRICATION
Upon completion of prefabricated materials, the log & timber work is delivered and assembled at the actual job site. While a majority of the prefabrication is completed prior to delivery, some connections are required to be fabricated on-site.
