AUSMAN RESIDENCE
Constructed of 12-inch average diameter logs, the Ausman
Residence is tucked away in the mountains near Conifer,
Colorado. This nearly 5,400 square foot home features a
master suite, two children's bedrooms, the great room with
separate dining and casual dining areas, laundry room, mudroom,
and three-car garage all on the main level.
The
upper level of the home offers an open loft as well as an
additional bedroom. Creating a great second living area,
the walk-out basement features a guest bedroom, home office,
work-out room, and a large rec. room with pool table and
wet bar.
The
owner's of this home were interested in large, open rooms,
and really did not want to see drywall anywhere in the house.
In addition to the log walls, wood floors, and tongue-and-groove
Aspen ceilings, most of the framed interior walls are covered
with tongue-and-groove Blue-stain diagonally laid Pine.
